Located 55 kilometers from the city of Valladolid, Tiedra sits at the westernmost edge of the Montes or Páramos de Torozos area within the province. According to official data from the National Institute of Statistics, the village currently has 289 inhabitants.

National Geographic praised Tiedra in a publication dated July 14, highlighting its charm by stating: "It’s not Provence, it’s Valladolid," and describing it as a "medieval village surrounded by lavender fields."
